Difference between corrugated and non-corrugated box

Corrugated boxes and non-corrugated boxes are the two different types of boxes used for shipping and storage. Although these two types of boxes are used for shipping and storing, they have huge differences from one another.

Corrugated box:

Corrugated boxes are made from corrugated cardboard. A corrugated box is used to store and transport heavy materials. It consists of three layers, namely the inner layer, the outer layer and the flute. A fluted layer sandwiched between the inner and outer layers to give strength to the box. The fluted layer acts as the cushioning, so it offers excellent strength and protection. Corrugated boxes can withstand other box weights placed on them. Corrugated boxes are available in different sizes, shapes, and colours.

Non-corrugated box:

Non-corrugated boxes are made from single-layer paperboard. Non-corrugated boxes are flat without a fluted layer or cushioning. It is typically lightweight compared to corrugated boxes. When compared to corrugated boxes, non-corrugated boxes frequently have a smoother and more polished appearance. They are typically used for retail packaging or gift boxes when aesthetics is crucial.
